KENN RABIN has taught classes and
workshops in writing and filmmaking across the country, specializing in
workshops for film- and video-makers interested in using pre-existing
archival film, video, still photographs, and artwork in their work, and
audiovisual archivists interested in issues of rights, licensing, and
cataloguing.
He also teaches interdisciplinary classes in media and
media literacy at the prestigious Hutchins School for the Humanities at
Sonoma State University (University of CA), and guest lectures in the
Film and Communications Departments at many universities in the San
Francisco Bay Area, including UC Berkeley, San Francisco State
University, and Stanford University.
He has taught or lectured at the Film Arts Foundation,
the Smithsonian Institution, the Miami Film Festival, New York Women in
Film, the Maine Film & Television Workshops, the Boston Film/Video
Foundation, Northeastern University, and many other venues.
